Walkability/Street Designs
Englewood Forward Comprehensive Plan encourages land use patterns and urban designs that reduce dependency on automobiles and strengthens pedestrian and bicycle connectivity in new developments and in neighborhood revitalization plans, and furthermore, the community spoke often of creating enhanced walkability in Englewood neighborhoods and the downtown during the Unified Development Code Assessment. One possible opportunity for achieving more of these community walkability objectives is through living streets and Woonerf design concepts.
