• To enhance the streets and spaces around downtown to make it more attractive, safer, and easier for everyone to get around.
• To support surrounding businesses by creating a more welcoming and vibrant environment.

Project Description

Making the most of Englewood’s traditional main street.

Our traditional main street is coming into its own! EDDA is working to energize South Broadway’s core blocks with new streetscaping, beautification, safer sidewalks, alley gathering spaces and more.

The South Broadway Public Realm Action Plan will make South Broadway more appealing and safer for everyone, creating a vibrant main street that will attract new visitors and businesses to our unique city!

The plan will include short-term pilot projects to encourage popup gatherings and events, as well as other elements to support Downtown Englewood’s unique character.

As the plan takes shape over the spring and summer, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to add your input in helping celebrate South Broadway’s authenticity, inherent quirkiness and local nightlife!
