Project Description

The City of Englewood is collaborating with Goodbee and Associates to renew the Northwest Greenbelt. Enhancements will include a new restroom facility, a picnic shelter for community gatherings, and significant landscape improvements that beautify the area. In addition to these features, well-designed pathways will be installed to ensure convenient access and encourage visitors to explore the surroundings. These upgrades collectively aim to create a more inviting and functional outdoor space for everyone to enjoy.

Background Information

In March 2017, Englewood City Council adopted the Parks and Recreation Master Plan to serve as a road map for future park development/redevelopment and provide a balance of facilities, amenities and recreation programs for the next 10 years.

In July 2023, the Department of Parks, Recreation, Library and Golf updated the 2017 Master Plan Recommendations Sections (Chapter 3) to outline key improvements to Englewood's parks, opens spaces and facilities to meet the current needs and issues of the community.
