South Broadway Public Realm Action Plan

<h2><strong>Project Description </strong></h2><p><span style="font-size: 14px; line-height: 107%; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The City of Englewood is excited to launch the Englewood Trolley: Refresh and Ridership survey. In the coming year, the city will be introducing brand new shuttles, extending operating hours and giving the shuttles a fresh new look! Tell us how you ride the trolley, what would entice you to hop aboard and pick your favorite new design.</span></p><hr><h2><strong>Englewood Trolley Free Shuttle Service</strong></h2><h2><span style="font-size: 18px;">Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. </span></h2><p>Englewood&rsquo;s <strong>free</strong> trolley<em><strong>,</strong></em> transports riders to 19 stops connecting CityCenter Englewood, businesses in downtown Englewood, and the medical facilities in and near Craig Hospital and Swedish Medical Center. The shuttles run <strong>approximately</strong> every 20 minutes and only picks up/drops off passengers at designated stops. Englewood Trolley Refresh

<p>Englewood has historically offered relative affordability, but recent trends in market prices, rising construction costs, increasing mortgage interest rates, and land constraints are putting the city out of reach for middle and lower-income households. A constrained housing market can and will negatively impact economic growth in Englewood and the region, as well as the ability for long-standing residents to remain in their homes. prohibiting existing renters and new residents from buying homes, and making it difficult for renters to remain in their rental units.</p><p>City council formed the Affordable Housing Task Force to:</p><ul><li>Conduct a landscape analysis to understand challenges and develop a long-term affordable housing plan for the City of Englewood.</li><li>Develop strategies to preserve affordable housing</li><li>Understand challenges related to affordable housing during a time of inflation</li><li>Determine whether the area median income (AMI) is the right measure for affordable housing, and whether the County&rsquo;s AMI is the correct measure for Englewood.
