In the last month, the consultant performed additional coordination with private utility companies, which was necessary to facilitate the proposed drainage and lighting infrastructure.

In the coming month, the city anticipates receiving CDOT and FHWA approval to advertise for construction. This approval allows the city to solicit bids and enter into a contract with the lowest responsible bidder.

In the last month, the city and CDOT reviewed the plans, specifications, and cost estimate provided by the consultant. The consultant has worked to implement all comments and compile the final submittal for construction advertisement.

In the coming month, the city and CDOT will confirm all necessary changes were made to the plans, specifications, and cost estimate. CDOT will seek FHWA approval for the project to go to construction.

This email is the eighth in a series of monthly updates regarding the Oxford Ave Pedestrian Bridge Project.

In the last month the project team submitted the plans and specifications package for a final review by the city and CDOT. The project team also continued the process of acquiring the necessary right-of-way for the project.

In the coming month, the city and CDOT will review the plans and specifications in order to provide feedback to the design team. The design team will incorporate comments into the design and will prepare the final plans and specifications package for bidding. Lastly, the team will continue the right-of-way acquisition process.

In the last month the project team began the process of acquiring right of way for the project and continued refining the plans and specifications. Also, staff met with City Council on August 23^rd to update Council on the design progress and get direction on aesthetic treatments for the project.

In the coming month, the project team will continue the process of acquiring the necessary right of way to build the bridge. Also, the team will be submitting the 90% plans & specifications package for the City and CDOT to review.

Preliminary Design; may not reflect Final Design

In the last month the project team went through CDOT’s preliminary plan review process and began working through comments from both the City and CDOT. The team also developed a drainage report for the proposed design and refined the project’s right-of-way plans.
