This email is the second in a series of monthly updates regarding the Oxford Ave Pedestrian Bridge Project.
In the last month, the project team continued work on establishing existing site conditions and began refining the approach path geometry. The preliminary geotechnical report was provided to the structures team and the structures team developed a draft of the structure selection report for review by the City. The environmental team established that there will be no impacts to historic features or properties in the area. Subsurface utility mapping continues.
Going forward, the team will look to finalize the structure selection report, refine the approach path geometry, and submit preliminary designs to the City and CDOT for review.
The project team will be hosting a virtual public information meeting to provide more info on the project and give the community an opportunity to provide feedback. The meeting will be held on April 22nd, 2021 at 6pm. A hyperlink to the meeting will be sent out to the email list and posted on the project webpage.
Lastly, the City recently launched an online public engagement platform called Englewood Engaged which features the Oxford Ave Pedestrian Bridge Project. We encourage anyone who’s interested in this project to register on the platform and use it to stay connected and up to date on the project. The platform offers a central location for general project information, past project updates, related documents, and schedule information. Furthermore, the project team may solicit public input through online surveys conducted on the Englewood Engaged platform.
Thank you for your continued interest in this project.
Best,

This is the first in a series of monthly updates regarding the Oxford Ave Pedestrian Bridge Project.
The City’s consultant, Wilson & Company, began work on the project in late December and has focused on establishing existing conditions. Since starting work, the geotechnical team has gathered soil borings and begun analyzing subsurface conditions. The subsurface utilities team continues to collect data for utilities within the project area. The survey team performed a LIDAR survey as well as a supplementary survey. The environmental team has begun reviewing relevant environmental resources such as historical, aesthetics, biological, and hazardous materials. The drainage team has compiled stormwater data and previous drainage studies performed in the area.
Going forward, the team will take a closer look at each of the proposed bridge alternatives as well as the north and south approach path design. A public meeting for this project is tentatively scheduled for April of 2021.
Please feel free to reach out to the City’s Project Manager, Jake Warren at jwarren@englewoodco.gov with any questions or concerns.Best,
