February 2025 Update

Between now and the last Good Neighbor Committee meeting there have been many meetings and conversations. Here are a few updates and the January 2025 version of the GNA has been posted as well.
- Discussion and decisions will be made regarding the yellow box in our next meeting. In the meantime, a neighbor installed rubber lining on the doors to lessen noise and Movement 5280 staff has been organizing it and cleaning the area. The following will be decided on:
- Moving it.
- Painting it.
- Better signage that it is a community pantry.
- Locking it at night.
- Maintenance, cleanliness of the area.
- Meetings between Movement 5280, the City and Englewood Police have resulted in a trespass agreement being put in place and signage purchased to post trespass information.
- A trespass agreement is a common agreement between a police department and a business. It gives police discretion and the ability to help move people along from a property without staff being present, when the business is closed. In this case it is the church when no one should be on the property.
- The City met with several neighbors to hear their concerns and discuss possible solutions. Many good ideas came from that meeting and they will be explored.
- Englewood Police has asked that anyone (neighbor, concerned citizen, Movement 5280 employee, business) calling for police to respond to leave contact information and request follow-up. If the person calling would like to remain anonymous that is fine, but providing a phone number, which of the above you are and that you want follow-up from the responding officer is important. Its crucial for calls of concern to have an understanding of the outcome.
More information will be sent as it becomes available. This information was also emailed to the larger community email list. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. An email can be sent anytime about this or other questions/concerns to EnglewoodGNC@findsolutions.org.
Thank you.

Update: Good Neighbor Agreement Draft Available
Share Update: Good Neighbor Agreement Draft Available on Facebook Share Update: Good Neighbor Agreement Draft Available on Twitter Share Update: Good Neighbor Agreement Draft Available on Linkedin Email Update: Good Neighbor Agreement Draft Available linkA group of neighbors representing the greater community have been working hard with the leadership of Movement 5280 to create a Good Neighbor Agreement (GNA). It’s time to share what has been discussed and agreed to so far. A solid draft of the GNA has been posted to this Englewood Engaged site under Documents. Click here for the direct link to the GNA.
Now we need input from the greater community, please review the GNA and share it with neighbors. If you have questions, comments or concerns please contact Ali Katz at ali@findsolutions.org or by phone at 303-717-4151 by August 6.
If any neighbors are interested in joining the Good Neighbor Committee (GNC) please contact Ali. These can be different neighbors than we had helping create this document. If you are interested in joining the GNC, please review the details below:
- Neighbors and Movement 5280 acknowledge that ongoing and regular communication is essential to maintaining a cooperative and successful relationship. To achieve this a Good Neighbor Committee (GNC) will be formed, comprised of the representatives listed in bullet the below. The purpose of the GNC is to provide a small working group where all relevant entities are represented and can engage in open, honest, respectful, and transparent discussions regarding the challenges and opportunities that are outlined in the Good Neighbor Agreement. The GNC serves as a place for these discussions to take place and be resolved.
- A Good Neighbor Committee (GNC) will be formed consisting of a minimum of two Neighbor representatives, a minimum of two Movement 5280’s executive leadership team members, and one Englewood Police Officer, there is also an option to have a city representative attend as well. Ali Katz from Find Solutions will schedule, facilitate, and summarize these meetings.
- This GNC will meet monthly (at first) to review Englewood PD security reports, Movement 5280 security and complaint reports, success stories and other items as relevant. It is anticipated that any non‐emergency questions, concerns, or information will be coordinated through this Committee. If the committee determines that quarterly meetings are adequate, they will move to do that.
If you have any questions or comments please reach out to Ali Katz at ali@findsolutions.org or by phone at 303-717-4151.
