April 2026 Update

The contractor, Asphalt Specialties Co., Inc., mobilized to the project site on March 16, with construction beginning March 23. Work is currently underway in the eastbound lane, where all existing pavement and base have been removed from Santa Fe Drive to the bridge over the South Platte River.

As of April 9, concrete has been placed from Santa Fe Drive to the west entrance of the 7-Eleven, with temporary access points maintained for all affected businesses during lane reconstruction. Asphalt paving is anticipated to begin the week of April 13. Once eastbound lane work is complete, construction will shift to the westbound lane, which is expected to begin in late April.
