6.1.21 Project Update
US-285 & S. Broadway Users,
This email is the fifth in a series of monthly updates regarding the US-285 & S. Broadway Interchange Reconstruction Project.
In the last month, the project team continued working towards environmental clearance and refining the interchange geometry. The team has arrived at a preferred alternative for the interchange configuration and began developing a plan for how to phase traffic during the construction of the bridge. This phasing plan involves reducing Broadway to 1 lane in each direction, eliminating the southbound-to-eastbound left turn, and setting up a detour for the eliminated movement. The team developed landscaping & aesthetics concept designs and is working with City staff to select and refine the preferred concepts.
The team also hosted the second public information meeting for the project on Thursday, May 27th at 6 P.M. A recording of this meeting can be found on the City’s YouTube channel and is linked on the project webpage.
