8.2.21 Project Update

US-285 & S. Broadway Users,

This is the seventh in a series of monthly updates regarding the US-285 & S. Broadway Interchange Reconstruction Project.

In the last month, the consultant team submitted the preliminary design package to the city and CDOT. Both agencies are reviewing the package prior to proceeding with the final design phase. City staff met with city council to determine the direction of the major aesthetic characteristics of the interchange. The selected design includes large bookend columns at the corners of the bridge with the Englewood logo prominently featured on the faces visible from US-285.

In the coming month, the team will need to incorporate comments received from the city and CDOT, while beginning to refine the plans and specifications to a higher level of detail.
