2.3.21 - Project Update

US-285 & S Broadway Users,

This email is the first in a series of monthly updates regarding the US-285 & S Broadway Interchange Reconstruction Project.

Work thus far has been focused on establishing existing conditions and developing models to inform decisions later in the design process. Since starting, the traffic team has coordinated with CDOT to establish traffic analysis procedures, gather traffic counts and crash data, and develop a model of the current traffic conditions. The survey team has completed a lidar survey and continues gathering supplementary survey data. The drainage and water quality team continues gathering data on existing drainage characteristics to assist the generation of a hydraulic model. The environmental team is working with CDOT and the State Historic Preservation Office to identify any historically significant properties or infrastructure near the interchange. Lastly, the utilities team is compiling as-builts and GIS information on the existing subsurface utilities.

Also note, the City will be hosting a Virtual Public Meeting for the project on February 18th, at 6 P.M. More information, as well as a link/invitation, will be sent out a few days prior to the meeting.
