March 2026 Project Update

Construction continues to move steadily along the South Broadway corridor, with several key milestones completed in February and additional improvements underway in March.

Work completed in February

• Reconstruction was completed at South Broadway and Belleview Avenue, including rebuilding the corner to meet ADA standards.
• Medians were removed along South Broadway at Chenango, Quincy, Kenyon, Oxford and Mansfield avenues to prepare for upcoming roadway improvements.
• Electrical upgrades and irrigation sleeve installation began.
• Excavation and roadway preparation were completed in advance of paving operations between Belleview and Quincy avenues.
• Construction began on the RTD bus stop at Chenango Avenue.
• Reconstruction of the RTD bus stop at South Broadway and Belleview Avenue was completed. A bus shelter will be reinstalled at this location later in the project.

Work anticipated in March

• Paving operations will continue between Belleview and Quincy avenues.
• Installation of electrical conduits, light pole caissons and poles will take place at Chenango Avenue, with similar work planned later in March at Quincy and Tufts avenues.
• Street and sidewalk demolition will occur at Tufts and Quincy avenues.
• New concrete curb, gutter, ADA ramps, planter boxes and sidewalk will be poured at Chenango Avenue.
• From early March through mid-April, the RTD bus stop at Quincy Avenue is expected to be temporarily closed to allow renovation work

Temporary Median Removal
The medians along South Broadway have been temporarily removed to help maintain traffic flow during construction. As crews reinstall the 13 bus pads along the corridor, traffic will shift around active work zones. Removing the medians allows vehicles to move safely through these areas. The medians will be reconstructed and reinstalled later in the project.
