June 2026 Update

Construction continues along the South Broadway corridor as part of the South Broadway Complete Streets Project.

Work Performed in May

• Demolition of the street and sidewalks was performed on S. Broadway at E. Mansfield Avenue.
• Street and sidewalks were removed, and a new concrete curb, gutter, ADA ramps, planter boxes, bus pads, and sidewalk were installed at E. Oxford Avenue.

Work Anticipated in June

• Paving operations continued on S. Broadway.
• Removal of the street and sidewalk will take place at the corner of E. Kenyon Avenue.
• Concrete ADA ramps were poured, irrigation work was performed, and a new light pole was installed at E. Mansfield Avenue.
• The RTD Bus Stop at the following locations will still be temporarily closed to allow crews to perform renovation work.
  • NB Oxford on Broadway – Will reopen on June 15
  • SB Mansfield on Broadway – Expected to reopen on June 21
  • NB Kenyon on Broadway – Expected to reopen July 4

Work Anticipated in the summer

• Planter boxes are built, and greenery will be planted in late summer along S. Broadway.
• Median reconstruction will begin from E. Chenango Avenue to E. Quincy Avenue. This will allow crews to install the final mat of asphalt at these intersections.
