January 2026 Construction Update

Crews have been surveying and preparing the South Broadway corridor for the start of construction, and traffic impacts will begin Monday, January 19.

What to Expect:

• Inside lane closures near the medians along the corridor from Belleview Avenue to Hampden
• These lane closures will move along the corridor as the median work progresses through late February

Drivers are encouraged to allow extra time for travel or use alternate routes.

The South Broadway Complete Streets project will bring upgraded bus stops and intersections, new bike infrastructure on South Sherman Street and streetscape improvements such as lighting, wayfinding and landscaping. These updates support a safer, more connected and welcoming corridor for everyone who travels through South Broadway.
