FAQs
When will the park close for construction?
Our last day open before we close and begin work on these new upgrades is Sunday, August 9, 2026.
What is happening during construction?
What will happen with the lazy river and lagoon pool (kids pool)?
Nothing at all! Those two favorite areas are not part of this project, so they'll be waiting for you just as you love them.
Will you still have options for diving?
Yes! The new deep end will feature a diving board and a jumping rock platform.
Will you still have lap lanes?
Definitely! The new deep end will include lap lanes for early morning swimming and deep water aerobics classes.
I saw pictures of new slides. Are the other slides going away?
Are you moving the sand pit or getting rid of it altogether?
It was difficult for the Pirates Cove team to keep sand from wandering into the pool filtration system, and the sand pit area was often underused. We’re excited to transform that space into a comfortable, shady rentable pavilion where families can relax, cool off and enjoy Pirates Cove together!
Will you be removing trees and altering the pedestrian path on the north side of Pirates Cove?
The main pedestrian path won't be changing at all! To make room for the new slide tower, we will need to remove a few trees on the north side of Pirates Cove. Some of the trees being cleared are unhealthy or invasive species, helping us keep our surrounding greenery healthy.
When will Pirates Cove open in 2027?
