August 2026 Update

In August, Pirates Cove closed for the season and the pool was drained. Crews are now mobilizing and preparing the site for construction as work begins on the east end of the water park, where the competitive pool is currently located.

The City of Englewood is collaborating with A.D. Miller on significant improvements designed to enhance the guest experience, introduce new ways to enjoy the water park and improve water efficiency.

The renovated east end of the water park will feature:

• New water slides for exciting, high-energy adventures
• A relaxing leisure pool for guests looking to unwind
• Water-efficiency improvements to help make better use of this valuable resource
• A new pavilion providing shade and comfortable spaces for families and friends to gather

These improvements will bring new amenities, enhanced infrastructure and more ways for guests to enjoy Pirates Cove for years to come.
