Project Completion Update - May 2026

Thanks to a successful partnership between the City of Englewood, the Colorado Department of Transportation and contractor Jalisco International, the pedestrian bridge between Santa Fe Dr and Navajo St/Windermere St reached substantial completion in mid-May.

The new bridge improves safety and connectivity along this busy corridor, providing a safer crossing for pedestrians and cyclists over Oxford Ave and improved access to the nearby RTD Light Rail station. It also helps increase green signal time for Oxford Ave traffic at the Windermere St/Navajo St intersection, improving overall traffic flow.

While the project is substantially complete, crews will remain on site for a few additional weeks to finish landscaping work. No significant impacts to the traveling public are expected during this final phase.

Construction on the project began in summer 2025. Its completion marks an important milestone in advancing the Englewood Walk and Wheel Plan and the Safety on the Move initiative.
