Oxford Pedestrian Bridge - September Progress Update

Significant progress was made in September on the Oxford Pedestrian Bridge! Crews successfully drilled and poured the caissons for the center piers in the median, and the foundations for both the north and south ends of the bridge were completed.
Next up, construction will shift to the superstructure. In the coming weeks, the vertical piers will begin to rise, and support structures will take shape at both ends. The bridge itself has already been fully fabricated in Loveland, Colorado, and is ready for installation. Placement atop the completed abutments and center piers is anticipated within the next few months.
This project will provide a safer, more connected route for pedestrians and bicyclists crossing Oxford Ave, improve access to the RTD Light Rail Station and support Englewood’s Walk and Wheel Plan and Light Rail Corridor Plan.
