3.2.21 - Project Update

Hello Englewood,

This is the first in a series of monthly updates regarding the Oxford Ave Pedestrian Bridge Project.

The City’s consultant, Wilson & Company, began work on the project in late December and has focused on establishing existing conditions. Since starting work, the geotechnical team has gathered soil borings and begun analyzing subsurface conditions. The subsurface utilities team continues to collect data for utilities within the project area. The survey team performed a LIDAR survey as well as a supplementary survey. The environmental team has begun reviewing relevant environmental resources such as historical, aesthetics, biological, and hazardous materials. The drainage team has compiled stormwater data and previous drainage studies performed in the area.

Going forward, the team will take a closer look at each of the proposed bridge alternatives as well as the north and south approach path design. A public meeting for this project is tentatively scheduled for April of 2021.

Please feel free to reach out to the City’s Project Manager, Jake Warren at jwarren@englewoodco.gov with any questions or concerns.

Best,

Englewood Public Works
