The City of Englewood is conducting an accessibility planning process that will result in an Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Transition Plan,in accordance with Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.
This planning process is intended to evaluate accessibility across City programs, services, facilities, and public infrastructure and to identify and prioritize improvements where needed. The resulting Transition Plan willprovide the city with clear direction and a roadmap to make accessibility related accommodations as funding allows.The goal is to create a more inclusive and accessible community for all residents and visitors.
Community and staff feedback are important to this process and will help inform priorities and implementation strategies.
Spring 2026:Public Accessibility Survey will open March 9 and close on April 13.
Spring 2026: Open House to collect input
Late Spring 2026:A draft of the ADA Transition Plan will be available for public review and comment
Summer 2026: ADA Transition Plan Adoption
Dates and details will be updated as they are finalized.

The survey is designed to help the cityidentify accessibility concerns related to:
City facilities
City programs and services
Public right-of-way infrastructure (including sidewalks, curb ramps, pedestrian crossings, and related facilities)
City websites and digital services
The survey provides residents, visitors, and community members with an opportunity to identify areas of concern.
This survey is available online and in paper copy at the Malley Recreation Center (3380 S. Lincoln), the Englewood Recreation Center (1155 W. Oxford Ave.) and the Civic Center (1000 Englewood Pkwy) on the third floor. This survey can also be made in a larger font size or in audio format. To receive this survey in an alternate format, please contact communications@englewoodco.gov.
The Public Accessibility Survey opens on March 9 and closes on April 13.
