Englewood Strategic Plan 2022 - 2025

The City of Englewood Strategic Plan provides a strategic vision for the city, organized into seven outcome areas. Each outcome area will include metrics designed to track progress in implementing the plan, as well as projects which include key investments. In January 2020, the Englewood City Council held a visioning retreat to identify elements of the ideal Englewood. Staff then worked to turn this vision into a strategic plan, which was adopted in July of 2020 and which originally ran through December 2022. In October 2020, staff began developing quarterly progress reports which were designed to update Council at the public on progress of the plan.

On December 6 and December 13, 2021, council reviewed proposed changes to the strategic plan, and on December 13 approved a public engagement process to solicit input on prioritizing outcomes and goals in the draft plan. The public engagement period will run through Wednesday, January 12. Council will be presented with the results of this public engagement process at their retreat on January 29, and will then set priorities within the plan. Priorities will assist the city in insuring that resources are allocated to prioritized outcomes and goals, and that quarterly reporting to council and on the city’s website focuses on priorities.

After priorities are set, the strategic plan will go through a final round of revisions to ensure that projects and measurements properly align with priorities. The strategic plan will be up for council approval in March 2022, and the first progress report will be published in July 2022.
