March 2026 Update

We’ve made great progress on the City Ditch Piping Project! This project will improve Englewood’s water taste, odor, and hardness while improving the resiliency of our water source, among other benefits.

Crews should finish installing the final stretch of pipe in two out of the three open channel reaches within the next few weeks. Our plan is to turn the Ditch back on by early April, with water once again flowing to the treatment plant and other users along the system. Then, crews will return next winter to pipe the final reach of open channel. As a last step, crews restore the former ditch areas with native grasses or sod.
