July 2026 Update
We are getting ready to start construction again this fall on Reach 2 of the City Ditch Piping Project!
Reach 2 has required multiple redesigns due to the denial of a permanent easement within BNSF property for the proposed alignment of City Ditch, requiring Englewood to construct the pipe within the existing City Ditch easement for most of the alignment.
The redesign requires close coordination with the City of Littleton, as several existing stormwater outfalls currently discharge to the City Ditch and will be rerouted as part of this project.
Project Phases & Timeline
To make this complex drainage design easier to manage, we are splitting Reach 2 into two phases:
Reach 2A (Fall 2026): Runs north from a manhole on the St. Mary’s property up to Ridge Road. Construction is planned to start in fall 2026.
Reach 2B (Fall 2027): Runs south from the St. Mary’s property to where City Ditch goes under Santa Fe Drive near Linhart Lake. Construction is planned for fall 2027.
What’s Next?
Englewood will reach out directly to property owners near Reach 2A to share updates and answer questions about how construction might affect their property.
