What is ARPA?
American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA) is a $1.9 trillion economic stimulus bill passed by Congress on March 11 to speed up the United States' recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.
This bill will allow city, county and state governments receive a portion of the funds based on population and other factors.
The City of Englewood will receive $8.7 million.
Eligible expenditures for ARPA Funds:
- Water, sewer, and broadband infrastructure
- Public health
- Addressing negative economic impacts
- Assisting hard-hit communities and families
- Providing premium pay for essential workers
- Replacing lost public sector revenue
