Teeing Up a Better Broken Tee on May 8

With May 8 right around the corner, we are excited to share that our drainage and soil improvement project is on track for completion as scheduled.

Holes 2, 3, 4, and 6 are now fully sodded, and progress continues on Hole 1, where irrigation lines and drainage basins are currently being installed. Hole 1 is expected to be ready for sod by May 1. Because Holes 2 and 3 were completed first, they have already been maintained by our robotic mower and are approaching ideal playing conditions. Hole 4 is not far behind.

As we prepare to reopen on May 8, protecting these improvements is critical. To ensure the new turf establishes properly, the following cart restrictions will be in place for approximately 4–6 weeks:

• Holes 1 and 6: Cart path only (no exceptions)
• Holes 2, 3, and 4: 90-degree rule in effect
• Hole 5: Cart path only (par 3)

These measures help protect this nearly $1 million investment and ensure long-term course quality for all players.

In addition to the drainage and soil work, several other course improvements are wrapping up:

• Hole 7 Tee Leveling Project: Tee boxes have been regraded and sodded.
• Hole 7 & 9 Cart Path Improvements: Installation of the new cart path is nearing completion, with turf grow-in to follow to expand the hitting area planned for Hole 7.
• Hole 8 Bridge Repair: Our in-house team continues to make strong progress on necessary repairs.
• Hole 17 Bunker Renovation: This long-anticipated project will be completed by May 8, featuring a new liner and fresh sand.
• Hole 11 Berm: The berm is shaped and ready for native plantings and trees to be added by staff. Installation of the relocated cart path is underway this week.
• Range Targets: Using soil excavated from the first six holes, we are creating two new green-style targets with natural grass. This enhancement will add a more realistic and engaging element to the practice range.
