A Better Broken Tee: March 2026 Update

Broken Tee Golf Course is currently undergoing an extensive renovation on Holes 1 through 6 to resolve chronic drainage issues caused by the underlying former landfill. To address this, Verde Sports Construction, the contractor awarded this project, is excavating the topsoil, installing a grid of drain pipes every 15 feet within 12x12 trenches, adding a custom root zone topsoil blend and laying fresh sod over 5 acres.

While the new turf may take a year or two to perfectly match the rest of the course in color and texture, the project is on track for a May reopening. This overhaul will finally ensure healthy, consistent playing conditions across the entire course, allowing golfers to hit off of grass rather than dirt.
