A Better Broken Tee Drainage & Soil Project Now Underway
2026 is off and running, and we’re excited to share important updates at Broken Tee!
Drainage & Soil Remediation Project Begins
We’re happy to announce that all required permits from the State and City of Sheridan were approved last week, and Verde Sports Construction is officially on site. Crews, equipment, and materials have been mobilized, and work is now underway on Holes 1–6 as part of our Drainage/Soil Remediation Project.
Project Timeline: Construction is expected to be completed by May 8, 2026.
Total Cost of Project: $997,697.17
Course Access During Construction
While this work is in progress:
- The Front 9 (Holes 1–9) will be closed
- The Back 9 (Holes 10–18) and the Par 3 Course will remain open
Players wishing to play 18 holes may do so by playing the Back 9 twice. Please book two tee times and allow a 2-hour, 20-minute turn time when scheduling your second tee time.
Scope of the Drainage & Soil Project
This project is a major investment in long-term course conditions and includes:
- Removal and replacement of 6” of unsuitable soils with a sand-based topsoil blend
- Installation of perforated drainage systems and improved catch basins
- Finish grading and re-sodding
Additional Front 9 Improvements
While Holes 1–6 are closed for construction, Holes 7, 8, and 9 will also be temporarily closed so our Agronomics Team can complete additional enhancements, including:
- Leveling the tee box on Hole 7
- Installing cart paths near Holes 7 and 9
- Adding catch basins
- Repairing the bridge near Hole 8
Clubhouse Improvements
In January, we also completed several interior upgrades in the clubhouse. As you visit, you’ll notice fresh interior paint, wood touch-ups, new tile, and wood panel improvements in the Pro Shop, restrooms, and bar area.
We truly appreciate your patience and support while these projects are underway. Your user fees are being reinvested directly back into the course and facility as we continue working toward “A Better Broken Tee.”
Thank you for being part of our golf community—we look forward to welcoming you out on the course!
