Thank you to the 935 customers who filled out the annual utilities survey late last year. We appreciate your feedback and are working hard to address your concerns.

Things to note about the results:

  • How would you rate your tap water from your home/business? Results are relatively the same as 2022 however, there was a slight decrease of 2% in rating of the water as poor.
  • Do you use a device at home to filter your tap water? There is a 7% decrease in respondents using a device to filter their tap water from 2022.
  • What time of year have you experienced discoloration in the water? This is a new question in 2023 and 70% noticed it between April through September which is expected due to rising temperatures, run off and algae blooms during those months.
  • Any improvement in the taste of the water in the last 12 months? There was a slight improvement from 2022 to 2023. Customers who rated the water as having a minor improvement to a significant improvement went up from 16% in 2022 to 23% in 2023.
  • Rate the cost of Englewood drinking water. 72% rated the cost from fair to excellent in 2023.
  • Rate the cost of Englewood sewer service. 84% rated the cost from fair to excellent in 2023.
  • How much are you willing to pay for a gallon of bottled water? Answers ranged from $0.01 to $3.00 in 2023.
  • Additional Comments: Common themes were taste, odor & hardness, PFAS, lead service lines and the cost of the water, with several respondents also noting that the water is improving.
